Yonela Simetu is the youngest of four siblings living in Langa. He is an aspiring filmmaker and feels that there are so many stories than need to be told in his community. For him, film is different than the other forms of communication, because he feels it carries emotion across much better.
DOCi - Emerging Filmmakers Programme is a community-oriented program designed to reach previously-disadvantaged young people. The course is a full time, fully immersive, programme run over 11 weeks.
