The Bromwell Street residents have made South African headlines in the recent months when they all received eviction notices after property developers bought their homes. The neighbourhood is nostalgic and heart-broken about having to leave their homes, but businessman don’t wear rose-tinted glasses; there’s no sentimentality in business. Bromwell Street tells a human story of people feeling as though they’ve been thrown away by the current regime and left to fend for themselves.
