Nadia Murad, a 23-year-old Yazidi, survived genocide and sexual slavery committed by ISIS. Repeating her story to the world, this ordinary girl finds herself thrust onto the international stage as the voice of her people. A retiring girl who was perfectly happy with her community until terror arrived and she saw so many of her people – an ancient dualist religious order going back into the mists of time -exterminated while the world took little notice. In the company of Yazidi activist Murad Ismael, she journeys to the UN and beyond to be the representative of her people. She is a remarkable, direct and Saintly presence within a world too used to looking the other way.
